Greetings in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a lovely autumn morning in the Kingdom…sunny, crisp, and with potential. This is, indeed, a day that the Lord has made…and we can rejoice and be glad in it! I believe that something good is going to happen to you, for you, around you – today, so pay attention. I trust that you had a good week and were blessed with health, strength, and a happy hearty. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to prepare your heart for the weekend and the opportunities that will come your way to represent Jesus to those you meet…may He release healing to your body, mind, and soul…may He communicate with you in a manner that you will understand.
It is Friday – new music release day and there is another new Christmas album being introduced, although there is only two tracks available today. However, I did get a song this week that I am enjoying. It is being presented at a time when people are struggling with life and the message is plain and simple. The words say…I could lose it all, all my earthly treasure-The comforts I have known, blessings beyond measure-‘Cause in the end-I could not do without you…I don’t know what I would do without Your presence-I don’t know what I would do without You here-I don’t know what I would do without you, Jesus- But,You’re not going anywhere … Austin & Lindsey Adamec.
It is good to be reminded…and to remind ourselves that as we navigate the uncertainty of this new normal…when so much has been taken away from us and our sense of security is so fragile…that God is still – A Mighty Fortress! – and that we caan put our feet down upon – Christ the Solid Rock … because He is not going anywhere. God is with us for the long haul.
Perhaps a good exercise for us to do today would be to focus our attention on some of the great hymns of faith that have stood the test of time,..songs and hymns that are “Ebenezers” for us. Yes, the world has changed but God is still there. We read in Scripture…The Lord is God and there is no other…Deuteronomy 6:5 and that introduced the daily prayer that is part of the Jewish faith to this day. Perhaps you will remember the words – Tell me the old, old story-For I forget so soon…Tell me the same old story-When You have cause to fear-That this world’s empty glory-Is costing me too dear!
Be encouraged…God is not going anywhere – have a blessed weekend!
