Greetings to you in the wonderful and amazing name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! what a morning…all of sunshine become “liquid-ated”…I know it is a little corny but don’t ‘rain on my parade’. Ah – yes! – this is still the day that God has carefully designed for us and we will rejoice and be glad in it. Just for your interest, the Bible speaks of autumn rains coming in the proper season (Deuteronomy 11:14; Joel 2:23) and if God sends them–then there must be a divine purpose. The natural purpose is to prepare the fields and the planting for a good crop. Perhaps in the spiritual sense that same purpose is in place. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to let “holy autumn rain” fall in you and prepare you for the season of plowing-planting-growing in anticipation of the harvest.
This morning I have been listening to the cd mentioned yesterday and this time it is the song “Blessed Assurance”. In this arrangement there is a time of refrain and music that allows personal expression. As I listen – I am pondering the second prophetic proclamation for the season ahead…it is a time of divine interruptions. In explaining…God is going to interrupt our schedules, our meetings, and our appointments with His presence. The Holy Spirit is going to interrupt our good program-based agenda’s with interruptions of His Divine presence. Watch out, here comes God as the Divine Interrupter and Divine Intruder! Now, doesn’t that sound interesting?!?
As I consider the explanation, one aspect encourages me…it will be His Presence that will interrupt and intrude and that sounds powerful and personal. When I think of the first proclamation – a fresh restoration of righteousness, it makes sense that that would require the Presence working powerfully and personally with in the believer. Perhaps that is why the “autumn rain” – spiritually speaking, needs to fall so that the soil will be softened and made ready.
Just a little something to think about — be blessed!
