Greetings to you – sweet aroma of salvation…in the beautiful, wonderful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful autumn morning in the Kingdom…and let us declare that this is the day that the Lord has made for us, so we will rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you are enjoying these days and experiencing all that God has for you. Today I will be praying for you, asking God to give health, strength, and a happy heart…may He be the lifter of your head this day…may you know His peace that is beyond understanding in the midst of your challenges…may He be your hiding place and place of refuge today.
I am grateful for this season of thanksgiving as we celebrate a time of ingathering…harvest. I have been blessed to have ‘harvested’ some special moments over the past few days. Just yesterday I came across a selection of new songs…and it wasn’t even Friday…part of the delight was a new to me singer. There was one song in particular that caught my attention – Never Walk Alone…and the words – Every hour, every minute-You have always been there-You are faithful-And You always will be.
A few weeks ago now, friends loaned us a DVD to watch…so last night we watched – Before The Wrath. It was a presentation of the Galilean Wedding at the time of Jesus and how Jesus used the different facets of it to teach His followers about His second-coming. This was very insightful and timely because I believe we are living in “last days” and we need to be alert to what is taking place in the world around us.
One more blessing came as a quote in my morning devotions. It is based on Lamentations 3:22-23…his mercies are new every morning; great is His faithfulness. The quote goes like this: There are fresh mercies for you today, formfitted for all the things you will face, both those you know about and may worry about, and those you don’t know about yet. God’s mercy isn’t generic. It is personal grace, situational grace, and concrete help. It meets you right where you are and gives you just what you need. You get it as you need it and are given as much as you need. You don’t have to wonder about the supply of God’s mercy. It flows from a renewable font of grace that will never end. Yes, life this side of forever can be hard, but you are not alone; you’ve been given sturdy love and new morning mercies–just what you need right here, right now. Something to ponder…be blessed
