A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 15th Friday

Greetings to you – chosen, forgiven, equipped, empowered, and loved by God through the Name above all names – Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What an interesting morning in the Kingdom…if you don’t like the weather at this moment – just wait fifteen minutes and see what you have. However, it is still the day that the Lord has made for us…and it comes with new mercies for us, so let us rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you have had a good week and are anticipating  the blessings of a weekend. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to meet you in a divine encounter that will encourage you and re-establish His joy in your life.

I was driving by one of our downtown churches and I saw their sign board with a message for those who would pay attention. It stated – We’re back…where are you? Many of our churches have been closed to “live services” for a time because of covid19 and haven’t started to return…for a variety of reasons. This trend has been a concern that has been a subject of prayer at our Monday prayer gatherings, We have been praying for a revival…a return to what was but we are in a new normal and life is different.

I read the directive from Scripture…This is not the time to pull away and neglect meeting together, as some have formed the habit of doing, because we need each other, In fact, we should come together even more frequently, eager to encourage and urge each other onward as we anticipate that day dawning. – Hebrews 10:25 TPT.

I have a sense that many of the church members are not aware of how much they need their church family…they are not aware that they need encouragement…that they need to be urged onward…that we moving towards “that day”…end-times and the return of Christ…that they are living closer to the edge of the end than they realize…that one of the signs of that approaching day is a “falling away from the church.”

God has posted on His signboard (Scripture) a message that says: I am here…where are you?

Just a little something to ponder…be blessed
