Greetings to you in the name of the One who sits at the right of God whispering our names and needs into the Father’s heart, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another beautiful morning is preparing us for adventures in the Kingdom…are you ready? I will be praying for you today, asking Father to use you to encourage someone else and create hope in their spirit.
I want to share a few quotes with you today that God has directed my attention to. One or two may be familiar to you, but He wants to remind you.
“enjoy the mysteries of God in all their hiddenness, and your life will thrive on the power of a God too vast for you to track,” Calvin Miller.
“Parables have another purpose also: they are designed to tease, challenge, and get behind our defences. They are intended to make us ask ‘What does that mean?’ or ‘What can he be getting at?’ or even ‘How dare He say that?'” Selwyn Hughes. “Parables aren’t illustrations that make things easier; they make things harder by requiring the exercise of our imaginations which, if we aren’t careful, becomes the exercise of faith.'” Eugene Peterson.
“When something seems impossible call on the power of God’s love – with His love all things are possible.” “The Word of God is still living and active – it contains divine energy, always moving, and accomplishing His purposes – it is the surgeon’s knife that cuts in order to heal -it is the balm that brings healing and comfort – it is multi-dimensional, multi-generational, and unfolding in nature.”
These are some of the insights that I am pondering these days – God is so thought-provoking! It is always good to have a good quote or a Bible verse or even a good funny story to carry around with you – Jesus did tell us that we were to ‘love God with all of our mind’. One more – although I may be 67…that is only 19.4 celsius!
Be blessed – and enjoy the day!
