A Church with a Heart for our Community

March 21st Tuesday

Greetings to you in the name of the One who ‘recreates  and presents new life’, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom – “Happy First Day of Spring” … everything has a sense of hope about it, do you see-hear-smell-feel it? I trust that you had a good weekend and  a variety of God’s blessings to carry with you into a new week. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release holy anticipation into your thoughts and attitudes as He heals and restoresand refreshes your body.

I came across an alternate translation of a scripture verse. The author calls it the Opposite World Translation because it highlights our human nature. First,I want to give you Paul’s words: Whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy–meditate on these things.  Philippians 4:8  NKJV. I know that you are familiar with those words, maybe too familiar to the point where the verse doesn’t have the impact it once did

Now read these words: Whatever things are rumour or hearsay, whatever things are negative, whatever things are mean, whatever things are trashy, whatever things dig up the dirt whatever things bring a juicy report, if there be any skeletons in the closet, anything gossip worthy, think on these things. Philippians 4:8 Opposite World Translation … Brian Houston, Live Love Lead. These words give the originala lot more power.

The Word of God or the Opposite World Translation … looking at life with a positive mindset or a negative mindset … hope or hopelessness?  I’ll leave the choice to you!

Have a great day … be blessed!
