Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What an interesting winter’s morning the Lord has created for us…and it is unfolding in unexpected ways. Thank you, Lord, for this day and for the joy of being alive and able to participate in it. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to fulfil words of Scripture in your life situation – ‘may He be the glory and the lifter of your head’ – Psalm 3:3 and may He ‘cradle your head with His left hand and draw you close with His right hand’ – Song of Songs 2:6; 8:3 .
This morning as I reflect on a few conversations I have had this week and about situations that are taking place in people’s lives, I was overwhelmed and I asked God for His presence and guidance. I am ‘hungry and thirsty’ for God’s interruption and intervention. I arrived at the office this morning and sensed God leading me to spend some time in worship before I did anything else. Interestingly enough He even chose the music/songs that I was to play. He chose two new songs – We Praise You and King of Glory – that I only downloaded this past week, but the words are great.
First, We Praise You: “Let praise be a weapon that silences the enemy-Let praise be a weapon that conquers all authority-Let praise arise … We sing your name in the dark and it changes everything-We sing with all that we are and claim your victory-Let praise arise.” Second, King of Glory: “King of glory fill this place-We want to be with you.” The first song is a song of declaration and the second is a song of crying out to God. Now, as I worshipped and walked through the sanctuary, I could sense that the influence of the enemy was losing it’s grip…so I replayed the songs and let the words speak for me as I lifted my congregation, my family, and my friends before God.
I am trusting that God is touching your life today in ways that you understand and sense…let yourself respond to His presence and have a blessed day!
