Greetings to you…faithful and anointed one…in the life-transforming name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! Once again, by faith and in spite of weather, life circumstances, and news reports – “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!” This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a blessing in your life that is totally unexpected and that will make you smile…may He release an extra measure of shalom-peace…may you possess an inner confidence that will quiet your thoughts.
I have been receiving daily emails from a group called…Empowered21 – and they include a short prayer video from a Christian leader somewhere in the world. They have been quite encouraging as they address world events from their part of the world. Yesterday, the prayer video came from Switzerland and was focused on a verse of Scripture: “Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer.” … “Let this hope burst forth within you, releasing continual joy. Don’t give up in time of trouble, but commune with God at all times.” – Romans 12:12 NIV / TPT.
Interestingly, the prayer represented by this verse makes even more of an impact when it is linked to todays’ video which came from a leader in Ireland. The observation that was made highlighted that one of the effects of covid19 is the magnifying and intensifying of our emotional responses to life. It is important to passionately pray for – a joy that is linked to our hope, our confident expectation Of God’s presence,; a patient steadfastness when we want to run away or at least in a different direction, and a determination to keep connected to God through prayer. All these are essential components for our spiritual emergency kit…joy, patience, and prayer.
Something to think about…be blessed!
