A Church with a Heart for our Community

August 5th Tuesday

Greetings to you who are accepted, forgiven, and anointed by Almighty God, in the wonderful, healing, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour!  Let us rejoice and be glad in this day that the Lord has made for us! I trust that you had a really good weekend and Monday…I believe this is going to be a week of blessings and surprise – so prepare yourself and be on the look-out! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release the aroma of His presence so that you will know when He is near and may you receive the grace you need to meet the challenges that life may bring to you.

This morning through one of my devotional readings God brought a reminder about communicating with us…you were created to hear God’s voice…He knows how to speak yo you and get your attention…still your mind and rest in His presence…listen for Him in every conversation…watch for Him to speak through emails, prophetic words, books, articles, and even in the beauty of creation…God is not confusing…He is patient…He will make it clear. Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriquez, The Divine Romance. I must say that those words made me smile, for that was exactly what was happening to me – God was communicating with me through the words in the devotional.

I want to share a Scripture passage with you that God used to speak to me and challenge me…I am standing in absolute stillness, silent before the one I love, waiting as long as it takes for him to rescue me. Only God is my Savior, and he will not fail me. For He alone is my safe place. His wrap-around presence always protects me as my champion defender. There’s no risk of failure with God! So why would I let worry paralyze me, even when troubles multiply around me? God’s glory is all around me! His wrap-around presence is all I need, for the Lord is my savior, my hero, and my life-giving strength. Join me, everyone! Trust only in God every moment! Tell him all your troubles and pour out your heart-longings to him. Believe me when I tell you–he will help you!  “Selah (pause in his presence)!” Psalm 62:5-8  TPT.

And my response to him…God more than anything else, I want the experience with you that those words convey – more than anything else!

Something to ponder … have a blessed day!
