Greetings on this beautiful Friday morning in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! I trust that you have had a good week and accumulated a few blessings/insights to reflect upon and to share. I am believing that you are excited about the coming weekend and the opportunities to gather with your church family for worship celebrations. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to release grace and mercy to you.
First, today’s theme for Day 2 of the 10 day prayer journey is: “Increasing In United Prayer” and the Scriptural anchor is – “These all with one mind were continually devoting themselves to prayer…” Acts 1:14 (NASB). I am absolutely sure that there is incredible power in the ‘saints’ coming together in prayer and the power is increased when there is a specific focus and the power is further increased when this activity comes with regularity. The Bible tells us that God hears every one of our prayers and stores them before the altar in heaven. Imagine, there is not an concern, desire, request, longing…whatever, that goes unnoticed! So, be assured that even when you don’t seem to think that your prayer[s] are significant…they are! Pray on – pray often!
Second, this Sunday is Mother’s Day…a time to remember and honour those women who are responsible for our being here. I realize that not every mother fulfilled (fulfils) her role and behaved (behaves) in a right manner, did (does) the right things, or spoke (speaks) the right words. I understand that this weekend’s focus on Mothers and motherhood-mothering is difficult for may people and there are so many reasons for that. So we will chose to release forgiveness for what was and is less than it should have been (be).
Have a great weekend – be blessed…and be a blessing!
