A Church with a Heart for our Community

April 21st Thursday

Greetings in the name – “the Name above every name”, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! It seems the sunshine has stepped off the stage for the moment but it is still a good day. The word from the Word says: God, keep us near Your grace fountain. And when You look down on us, may Your face beam with joy! Psalm 67:1 TPT. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to release a manifestation of that joy-filled face into your awareness.

I was at a “Spring rally” where many people were using their gifts and talents to serve other people…and it was great! This morning as I think of all the individuals who contributed in their own way, I was reminded of two quotes. First: Everyone has, inside of himself…what shall I call it? A piece of good news! Everyone is…a very great, very important character – Ugo Belli. The second quote expands the first: Everyone has inside him a piece of good news. The good news is that you don’t know how great you can be! How much you can love! What you can accomplish! And what your potential is! How can you top good news like that? – Anne Franck.

I think it would be a good exercise to write those two quotes down on a recipe card or a note pad. Then do a two-step exercise – first, look in the mirror and speak them out loud to yourself, maybe each morning and each mid-afternoon for a week. You are a transporter of a  “piece of good news”! Second, think of someone in your family or relationship network who needs to hear those words spoken over them…maybe, you could write out a second note and give it to them. Can you imagine what our world would look like if each of us understood that – being made in the image of God, we contained…”pieces of the gospel, the good news”?

Something to think about – blessings!
