Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ -“Desire of all nations” (Haggai 2:7) – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour! What an interesting morning after last night’s ‘Spring’ thunderstorm! I trust that all is well in your world as every morning God “re-creates” his presence in your life and grants new evidences of his love for you. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a holy communication to your inner being that will empower your walk with him and affirm the life you are living.
This past Monday I was driving past a construction area where new fuel tanks were being buried underground and I sensed God speaking to me saying: “Pay attention!” I must say that I was a little confused as to what I was supposed to pay attention to, as I had been watching the progress on the site for a few days. However, I ‘paid attention’ and accepted that when the moment was right, God would finish his instructions to me.
A very short time later in a worship time, before a group of prayer-warriors would begin interceding for our city, I was singing: “Lord, prepare me to be a sanctuary – pure and holy, tried and true – with thanksgiving I’ll be a living sanctuary for you!” Then it was that God brought to my mind the construction site. In order for the fuel tank to be effective and functional, it had to be properly installed – the ground prepared: any debris removed, cushioned in a proper foundation.of sand/gravel, and the covering had to be levelled.
In like manner, God had been preparing me for an expanded capacity fuel-tank – “sanctuary for the Spirit” and he revealed to me some of the debris he had removed and the cushioning backfill of love/encouragement and the covering of anointing. As an awareness of his process became clear, I started to express my thanksgiving to him. I was struck by the idea that God did not want me to decrease, but increase.
My thoughts went back to the construction site and I recalled that there had been a lot of activity going on and it was confusing at times to understand what was taking place. However, I noted one day that there was a man, the project manager I suppose, walking around with his white hat on his head and the blueprints in his hand. There was always someone there who knew what was being done and when it was to be done and how it was to be done. Again, I understood that even when I don’t know what is going on in my life that there is always someone on location who knows the what and the when and the why and the where and the who.
Next time you are travelling along and God whispers: “Pay attention!” – pay attention and you will have a story to tell of a lesson learned! Be blessed!
