A Church with a Heart for our Community

May 28th Thursday

Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour…and our Great High Priest (Hebrews 4:14). What a delightful morning in the Kingdom and yesterday’s rain was such a gift…it makes me want to sing – “This is my Father’s world!” This morning, and throughout the day, I will be praying for you and asking Father to release His favour on your life – mercy and grace!

I was doing some reading and meditating  this morning and God brought to my attention a discussion we had had several months back. Actually, it was me questioning and arguing and Him quietly, firmly re-establishing some guidelines from his Word. The Bible advises: Trust God from the bottom of your heart; don’t try and figure out everything on your own. Listen for GOD’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; he’s the one to keep you on track.  Proverbs 3:5-6  The Message.

I had been a little discouraged at the time and wondering if I should make some changes…and questioning my effectiveness as a leader. I was at a Men’s Conference in Mississauga and one of the speakers seemed to be speaking to me…you know what that is like don’t you? He said: God’s definition of success (effectiveness) was simply to become what He called you to become and to do what He called you to do — regardless of where that might lead you to or through. – John Bevere.

Strangely enough, Holy Spirit – weird person he is, led me to read a ministry letter that I usually scan and delete…okay, I usually just delete because there never seems to be anything for me. Anyway, there tucked in the third or fourth paragraph was that same definition in the words of another Christian leader. Thus the second reason to sing: This is my Father’s world – oh let me ne’er forget – That though the wrong seems oft so strong – God is the ruler yet – This is my Father’s world – The battle is not done – Jesus who died shall be satisfied – And earth and Heaven be one.  Maltbie Babcock. Therefore, firmly reminded…I will simply ‘trust God from the bottom of my heart’!

Be blessed!
