Greetings in the name of God-“ein od milvado” -and Jesus Christ – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour! I know this isn’t the war sunny day that many want but it is the day that God made for us…and there must be a purpose in it. Therefore – look for God’s purpose and plan for you today. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to release the “freedom spirit” of Passover into your life.
“I will put my law in their minds and write it on their hearts. I will be their God, they will be my people.” Jeremiah 31:33 NIV. “My son, keep my words and store up my commands within you. Keep my commands and you will live; guard my teachings as the apple of your eye. Bind them on your fingers; write them on the tablet of your heart.” Proverbs 7:1-3 NIV. I was challenged to think about why God would direct that his word/laws/commands would be placed “on” the heart an not “in” the heart. One of the reasons I found was that in order to get the ‘words of God’ from “on” to “in” would require the breaking open of the heart.
God has a desire for and readily accepts and draws close to “broken hearts” – (see Psalm 51:17; 34:18). God, certainly has no fondness for – pride and stiff-neckedness and independence and unteachableness. Sometimes, I think, we forget that God is constantly working in our lives…and there are times when we need to be broken so that he can infuse us with the freshness of his words and then as a lump of clay on the potter’s wheel, he re-forms us. You and I know that God doesn’t purposefully “break” us…goodness knows the world around us and people and circumstances will do that. However, God can and does and beautifully so…takes the words placed on a heart that is breaking and allows them to soak into the heart.
I know that there are many who can testify to this act of transformation, knowing that they would not be the person of faith and strength and usefulness that they are today without this experience. Isaiah said: The Master, GOD, has given me a well-taught tongue, so I know how to encourage tired people. Isaiah 50:4 The Message. A ‘well-taught tongue’ belongs to the one who has allowed their broken-heart to accept the words written on their heart to be moved inside their heart to be used for God’s glory.
Be blessed!
