A Church with a Heart for our Community

July 2nd Friday

Greetings to you in the powerful, beautiful, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What an interesting morning in the Kingdom! Let us rejoice and be glad in the day that the Lord has made for us – a beautiful summer morning to lead us into a weekend. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to surround you with a peace that passes understanding…to release a generous supply of grace to you…to touch you with healing and well-being…to shower you with love.

The first half of the year is now history…can you believe it? A friend of the family has a wonderful expression for a moment like this – Adam says, “it is all down hill from here!” I have been receiving information for the upcoming fall and winter season…training events, planning ideas for Christmas, and community activities. I suppose everyone is hoping for a more normal…abnormal time. Although we have been in a holding pattern, life has been happening all around us and drawing us in.

This week I came across two new-to-me songs that I needed. First, there was these words: I’m not just hoping, I’m not just wishing-I know I’m praying to a God who listens-I know He hears me, I know He is living-Yes, I am praying to a God who listens — Chris Tomlin & Thomas Rhett. Second, there are these words: Every minute, every moment-Where I’ve been and where I’m going-Even when I didn’t know it or couldn’t see it-There was Jesus – Zach Williams.

It seems that there are those times…like where we are right now, that we need someone to remind us that we interact with a God who really and truly listens…and can act on our behalf – and that we can experience the presence of Jesus anywhere and anytime.

Something to ponder…be blessed!
