Greetings in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a delightful morning in the Kingdom – it is obvious that there is a creative energy at work in creation…and we know “who” that energy is! Therefore, we declare that this is the day that the “Lord” has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday – let me assure you that you and your family were surrounded with prayer. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to dispatch angelic warriors to watch over you and keep you from harm…may healing, confidence, and peace be yours…may you “cross paths” with someone who needs your encouragement.
This past Sunday we used a song that was new to us. I must confess that when the song was chosen, I had not really looked at the words…the title seemed good and the music would be a good fit. I first listened to it at a music check and was “caught by the Spirit”…and was looking forward to hearing it on Sunday. I guess it was a “God-incidence” because the song seemed to express what was needed on Sunday morning. Interestingly, I decided to use the song as part of our reflective worship before Monday noon-hour prayer gathering and it seemed to resonate with the intercessors.
So, I thought I would share some of the words in this blog – the chorus and bridge – and see what happens. Here we go: I want to know you Jesus my Lord-King of the heavens king of my soul-I trade my treasure and all my rewards-Jesus to know you then know you more … Like wave after wave on the ocean-Like all of the sand on the shore-Your beauty and glory are endless-O Jesus I must know you more.
Somehow I think that the idea of knowing Jesus more is provoking a hunger and thirst in our spirit that God wants to fill – I am learning that in spite of how things are going around us – God is in a really good mood! Oddly enough when God is in a good mood He enjoys blessing people and meeting their needs, and receiving their thankful response. I know that this is Thanksgiving week in the USA…but maybe we could make this a week of expressing our thanksgiving…because when we ask for “more” of Jesus – we receive!
Just a little thought to ponder…have a blessed day!
