Greetings to you pursued, purchased, and padded by the Father’s love through the wonderful. beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another lovely morning in the Kingdom…and we respond with rejoicing and gladness as we enjoy all that the Lord has made. It seems to me that God has been answering many prayers lately – and I trust that He has been answering some of yours. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to reveal the glory of His presence surrounding you and to experience healing and empowering grace moving within.
This morning I want to share some “one-liners” that appeared in my devotional reading this week, as they have been encouraging, thought provoking, and challenging. First – “this year will be a year of restoration in your life – you will be restored in His love, strengthened by His grace, and surrounded by songs of joy.”
Then – “there is much talk in some circles of making the Bible ‘relevant to the world’ , I wondered what those who attended it ( a conference on the World and its future ) might think if I were to stand up and tell them that in my briefcase ( the Bible ) I had the definitive plans for the future of the world!”
Then – “As You lead me beyond my temporary struggles, I find that life with You is a journey of discovery…I can find You anywhere, if I would only look.”
Finally – “Look out, world, the King of glory is coming closer…He will unveil His might and political chaos will bow.”
Here’s this morning’s prayer – Father, the world needs your healing touch. Come with your glory and set things right. Invade the offices of politicians with the voice of true wisdom. Draw the nations to you. Set the captives free and do whatever you can through me, your humble vessel.
(Many thanks to Brian Simmons, Gretchen Rodriguez, Selwyn Hughes, Mick Brooks)
May you find something to ponder — be blessed!
