Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! the first week of a new month – I believe that this will be a season of surprises and adventures – tomorrow begins the celebration of Lent, very soon is St. Patrick’s Day, then comes the first day of Spring 2019, and there is all the family-personal days. I think we had better get hold of a journal and take notes. I trust that you had a great weekend and are ready for a grand week in the Kingdom. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to ‘quiet you with His love and rejoice over you with singing.’
This morning I am contemplating a comment made by a friend – “when God invades your life, things change. Not only that, but the impact of your life on the world also changes.” – Bill Johnson, Meeting God Face To Face. I have heard many people talking about ‘change’ as they sense God’s creative work happening…and they are so anxious to have change or to perhaps prove that they are not afraid of change that they seem to be forcing or trying to make it happen. Rather than seek the invasion of God they seem to do their own invasion and then ask God to bless it. One of the most needed things, I believe, is to seek after God…which could be a major ‘change’ for some folk.
Now related to this thought is a sentence or two from another friend: “Prayer is entering into a conversational intimacy with God…Hearing the voice of God is one of the lost treasures of Christianity–an intimate, conversational intimacy with God is available, and is meant to be normal…For this very intimacy you were created!” – John Eldredge, Restoration Year. I believe we can smooth the path for change…maybe even encounter it quickly, if would spend more time doing less activity and more listening.
The fuel for this fire comes from…of course, a song: To see Your face-And all of Your beauty-To know Your grace- And all of Your glory — This is my cry O Lord-My heart’s desire O Lord-To see Your face-To know Your grace-This is my cry …Terry MacAlmon. I recall a verse of scripture that says of Peter and John: Then they (Jewish council members) began to understand the effect Jesus had on them simply by spending time with him (Jesus).. Acts 4:13b TPT. A small wonder to me that we like to sing…”Turn your eyes upon Jesus-Look full in His wonderful face-And the things of earth (will start to change) will grow strangely dim-In the light of His glory and grace.” He is not only the “chain-breaker” …He is the “Game Changer”
Blessings on you this day!
