Greetings in the name that gives us access to the throne-room of heaven, Jesus Christ – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour! It is a delightful fall morning and I appreciate the breeze that is swirling around…it is a sign to me of the prophetic words that are being spoken. I wonder to myself…is the whirlwind of supernatural activity being readied for release? Anyway, I trust that you have had a good week and are excited about the weekend. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to swirl the fragrance of heaven around you.
I must tell you something interesting about this morning’s drive to the office, especially after yesterday’s thoughts. I decided to forget about clock-watching, thinking that it would be a good thing to have to stop with traffic behind school buses…I might “see” more. There wasn’t one bus on the street today – there were children and parents waiting, but traffic moved right along. I think I felt a little cheated out of an anticipated blessing or two. However, I had to drop my car off at the garage for some repairs and I had the opportunity to walk a few blocks and say hello to some folk and take note of my city awakening. One of the highlights was the wind – warm and gently forceful, moving leaves and dust and papers around. As Jesus said, “The wind blows were it will…”, it makes its presence known, it has an effect.
I was thinking of the many songs we have been singing about the “wind of God’s spirit” and about the prayers we have uttered as we ask God to release the wind of the Spirit into our churches, families, and our city. I wonder if we truly realize that when God’s “wind of the Spirit” begins to blow, we will experience the manifestation of its power. I wonder if we are fully prepared and receptive to the changes that will be necessary as the ‘wind’ moves things in our lives around. One of the prophetic words that was released just this past week was about God releasing a “whirlwind of supernatural activity into the atmosphere” and I am a little excited.
So, go for a walk or look out the window…take note of the wind and listen for God to speak to you. After all, as the songs says: “The answer, my friend, is blowing in the wind.” Have a great weekend…be a blessing and receive a blessing!
