Greetings to you in the Name above every name, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! I trust all is well with you and that you are enjoying and experiencing God’s blessings! We are now on the second week of our Lenten journey…a time of discovery and soul-cleansing…and I pray that God is challenging you at the edges of your spiritual life. I will pray for you, asking father to release an Epiphany moment somewhere along your path.
I came across a good quote: Nothing can do what a book can do. Lifts you out of your life to a whole new world, whole new perspective. A book is like a dream that you borrow from a friend. – Dave Kellett. As i pondered that, I said to myself: Nothing can do what a good quote can do. Stirs you out of your “rut” to a whole new idea, a whole new possibility. A quote is a loan that allows you to enrich your vision and even when it is paid back the interest keeps accruing.
I have three quotes that I have borrowed from our Wednesday Bible study that I am enjoying – “God’s love is long enough to last forever, wide enough to embrace everything about you, deep enough to pull you out of your deepest despair, and high enough to overlook every offense” – “Forgiveness isn’t about fairness. Forgiveness is about grace. The first key to learning how to forgive others is to remember how much you have been forgiven” – “Temptation is not always about doing the wrong thing. Temptation is also about not doing the right thing” – Rick Warren, 40 Days of Prayer. (these come from a two-part lesson on the Lord’s Prayer)
We have been learning new ideas about prayer from our latest Bible study…certainly making us look at the “rut” of what we thought we knew – good fuel for our Lenten travels.
May you be blessed today!
