A Church with a Heart for our Community

October 7th Wednesday

Greetings to you – invited to come and dine at the King’s table in the beautiful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a delightful Autumn morning the Lord has made for us – let’s surprise Him and…rejoice and be glad in it and make it grand! Are you meeting the Thanksgiving challenge…finding six reasons each day to be thankful and making a list? Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to respond to your prayers by showing you great and mighty things that you know nothing about ( Jeremiah 33:3)…and may He make His presence known to you in ways that you will understand.

At times, I find myself lost in this strange new normal that has attacked us and attached itself to us. I came across this quote…when life doesn’t seem to be working, it’s not that you’re not doing it right, it’s that the world isn’t right. – Nancy Guthrie. As I ponder that, the words of a song dance through my thoughts…Do you feel the world is broken? – (we do) / Do you feel the shadows deepen? – (we do) / But do you know that all the darkness won’t stop the light from getting through? – (we do) / Do you wish that you could see it all made new? – (we do) … Chris Tomlin. Of course, the song ends with the understanding and declaration of faith that indeed – there will be a powerful conclusion and God will – eventually – reveal that Jesus is Lord and as such the “ANSWER” to all of our questions.

Until then we walk by faith and follow the ‘trail’ that He has made for us and when we get discouraged and life seems to demand more than we can give…be filled with the fullness of the Holy Spirit. And your hearts will overflow with a joyful song to the Lord Jehovah. Keep speaking to each other with words of Scripture, singing the Psalms with praises and spontaneous songs given by the Spirit! Always give thanks to Father God for every person he brings into your life in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ. And out of reverence for Christ be supportive of each other in love. – Ephesians 5:18b-21 TPT.

Let me give you one more quote to consider…when we find ourselves unsatisfied in life, it’s not that we don’t have what we need to be happy; it’s that we refuse to be happy with what we have. – Nancy Guthrie.

A few things to ponder during Thanksgiving week – have a blessed day!
