Greetings in the name above every name – Jesus Christ, THE Risen Saviour! I trust that you had a good week and enjoyed every blessing God brought into your life. I trust that you delighted in the people that God has put in your life. I trust that you are expectant about this weekend’s faith gatherings…singing and praising and praying and sharing life with your Christian family. (God told me to tell you – “Come on over to my house and see what is going to happen!). Today I will be praying for you, asking God release the power of His living ‘word’ into your heart and mind and spirit.
I mentioned that we were in a time of transition…a new month, a new season, changes taking place…and someone took that idea very seriously. Early this morning I received a telephone call to tell me that one of church family members had died…now that is a definite transition! Although there is sadness, I believe that my friend is enjoying his new found freedom from pain and limitation – so I am happy for him. I, actually, think he is relishing the fact that he has the last laugh at me, saying: “See, I told you that I was going soon!”
Today, I am reminded of the importance of being aware of each person whose life touches mine, be it in a significant way or even in a passing moment. Of course, I must consider that my life also touches many people in like manner…and that is a challenging thought. If you are doing the ‘daily list’ of five things you are thankful for…maybe you could think of five people who you have interacted with in some way each day and be thankful for them.
Just something to ponder…Have a blessed weekend!
