A Church with a Heart for our Community

November 19th Thursday

Greetings to you…forgiven, cleansed, restored, fully-equipped  – by God through the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a delightful morning in the Kingdom! Yes, this is the day that the Lord has made for you and I, so let us rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that all is well with you and ours and that you are at peace with yourself. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to reveal His presence to you in ways that you will understand, accept, and appreciate….may He give you strength and confidence…may He quiet your heart and mind.

This morning a few sentences on an email caught my attention – many of the ministry emails come from the USA and they are getting ready for their Thanksgiving: As we move into a holiday season unlike any we’ve ever experienced, I hope we will turn to Christ every morning. Practice gratitude in this time when it feels like so much has been lost. His presence is more than enough. – Shelia Walsh.

I know that it can be challenging expressing gratitude when everything in and around us seems upside-down…and we have lost so much in the last 250 or so days to covid19 and the protocols. I am reminded of the words: So lift your hands and give thanks to God for his marvelous kindness and for his miracles of mercy for those he loves. Bring your praise as an offering and your thanks as a sacrifice as you sing your story of miracles with a joyful song. – Psalm 107:21-22  TPT. It is not the gifts we have received that we are grateful for…it is the Giver we are truly grateful for.

There is, of course, a song that highlights the season we are in. It is called – Dance Again, and was written by Matt Hooper. Some of the words : Your tears will dry, your heart will mend-Your scars will heal, you will dance again …so – Praise Him, for His faithfulness, for His love and mercy, for His strength and power, because He is always in control, for His grace and favour, for His holiness.

Yes, life has been…and is a little more difficult but God has helped us through to this day, and I believe that He will continue to be there. Whether we like it or not, whether we notice it or not…we are getting stronger, our roots are going deeper, our branches are reaching further, and we will dance again!

Something to ponder…be blessed today…practice your gratitude!
