Greetings to you – ” the apple of His eye! “ – in the life-transforming name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom…The Lord sure knows how to create a November day that will cause us to rejoice and to find reasons to be glad in the moments He gives us. I trust that week is going well. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father for compassion, understanding, and patience with us…may we experience a special touch of healing power.
This morning, I woke up thinking about a simple but powerful declaration – The Lord is my Shepherd…He restores my soul! – Psalm 23:1a, 3a. I was not sure what He was going to do with that…and my mind started to process all sorts of ideas and applications. I tried to be super-spiritual, but He had a different idea.
In one of my devotional readings for today the title was “Soul Care” and was addressing the difference between ‘relief’ and ‘restoration’. Then the author highlighted a few things that would help and a few things that would not help in the area of growing a stronger soul. The lits made me smile and maybe they will make you smile a little too!
Helpful: Generous amounts of sunshine. Long walks, Swimming. Music. Water. Chocolate. Kindness. Compassion. Yard work. Building something. Beauty. Unhelpful: Television. Traffic. Draining people wanting to talk to you. The news. Social media. – John Eldrege, Restoration Year. I am sure you might add a few of your own, but I really like the “chocolate” for your soul!
Just a little something to think about…may you be blessed !
