Greetings to you in the name that is above every name, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful Spring morning in the Kingdom! I trust that you had a good weekend-Monday and are looking forward to what this day will bring. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to grant you an extra measure of good health, a happy spirit, and peaceful mind.
We are well aware, I am sure, that all prayer is directed to God be it in bedroom or at church or at a special event gathering with hundreds of people there. We are also aware that the manner that prayer takes and the words we use are affected by the people who will be listening and the location we are in. There are at least five levels or tiers of prayer and each one has its unique style, content, and degree of intimacy. Over the next few days I simply want to highlight four of those tiers.
The first level is the ‘personal’ where prayer is our private interaction with God. It is, of course, where we grow in our relationship with God, finding a closeness that deepens into an intimacy that cannot be truly explained. It is in this context that we begin to understand that there isn’t anything we cannot pray about…and we can pray anytime, anywhere, with any words or emotions. Personal prayer is, I believe, foundational to our spiritual growth and the understanding of our identity and seeing our purpose.
Level one – personal prayer … may God bless you today!
