Greetings to you in the name of the One who made it possible to experience the Holy Spirit, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Let us rejoice – this beautiful day came to us at the Lord’s direction and for our enjoyment! Have you noticed how the sunshine and warmer temperatures inspires people to be happier and friendlier to each other? Does it have that effect on you? Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to make you lie down in His green pastures and to lead you to places of quietness so that He can restore your soul – physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually.
We begun a new Bible study last night. It is video-based with a Study Guide to carry the night’s lesson on through the week. It is called – Life Changing Prayer…approaching the throne of grace. The first night was good and I think we will enjoy it, as well as learn.
So this morning God directed me to…are you ready for it?…a new song. Some of the words could be right out of last night’s lesson…So we have come to kneel before your throne-With faith and confidence in you alone–For Your glory. The song continues with words that express what I sense God desires from the church: Come like the sound of roaring thunder-Cover the earth with signs and wonders … Come and consume us with Your power-Jesus we need You in this hour … The increase of Your kingdom has no end-So we Your church will rise and take a stand-Miracles and life will flow as we reach out our hands – . The song is titled – Bring an awakening and it is strong and makes a hopeful declaration.
“Bring an awakening” – a revival, a restoration, times of refreshing … that has been a part of our prayers repeatedly over the last weeks. It seems that God is turning up the heat and creating a holy discontent – a hunger and thirst after righteousness.
May God bring an awakening to you!
