A Church with a Heart for our Community

May 21st Friday

Greetings to you…protected, loved, provided for, and source of great delight…in the name that allows us access to the Father’s Throne-Room, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful Spring morning to lead us into the weekend…and affords us the opportunity to say – “this is the day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it!” I trust that you have had a good week and have sensed God’s presence around you. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father – “to bless you and keep you, to smile upon you and gift you, to look you full in the face and  to make you prosper.”

I have been pondering the idea of being “in between” that I shared a few days ago…in between the Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. If I go one step further, I am in-between salvation and complete restoration. I understand all too well that I must deal with a dangerous enemy that lives within called sin and an equally sly enemy that sneaks’ around me called temptation. Therefore, I am in need, desperately on a daily basis of grace. I have been forgiven – completely, but the final, finishing touch is yet to come. Therefore knowing that I am in-between these two realities gives me a peace.

Pentecost Sunday arrives in two days and once again I can renew my need of a Holy Spirit “inpouring” that will breakthrough into my “in-betweeness” releasing a power that I so need. It may come powerfully or it may gently envelope me…but I know it is coming! How about you? First, have you received the Holy Spirit since you first started following Jesus Christ? Second, are you ready to receive a fresh inpouring?

His Word says…”If imperfect parents know how to lovingly take care of their children and give them what they need, how much more will the perfect heavenly Father give the Holy Spirit’s fullness when his children ask him.”  Luke 11:13  TPT.

Something to ponder…have a blessed day!
