A Church with a Heart for our Community

March 29th Tuesday

Greetings to you…children of God – loved, chosen, accepted, welcomed, forgiven, and cared for through the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a lovely morning in the Kingdom, surely we can say that this is the day that the Lord has made and rejoice with gladness in our hearts…some days are easier than others! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday, enjoying unexpected blessings and provision and ‘blanketed’ by  His presence. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release health, strength, and peace…may you receive His amazing grace.

This past Sunday I was able to share four more principles for living our faith after the pandemic with the church family. They were steps that would enable us to “reset” ourselves for the days ahead – Eliminate the non-essentials in our life, Excel at what really matters, Embrace the new things  that God is doing, and  Expect incremental changes within me. In some ways it is like doing “spiritual Spring cleaning”!

Then, yesterday was our Monday noon hour prayer gathering…and God honored His promise to be present when two or three gather in His name. How I appreciate the faithful intercessors who join together to pray for our city and county…especially the family of faith and those in authority. There were and are, of course, prayer for needs and concerns that affect our province, nation, and world, in particular at this time the crisis in Ukraine. It seems odd that the prayers of a handful could make any difference, but it is not the size of our group but the size of the God who said…and says – with God all things are possible!

This morning I am remembering that on Sunday morning we began our worship time singing…”Standing on the promises that cannot fail…overcoming daily with the Spirit’s Sword…Stand strong…Stand in faith…Stand in awe…”  So, be it Sunday morning or Monday noon hour or Thursday evening…whenever or wherever God’s people gather, it is important that we “stand” on the the promises…all 8,000+ promises that are in God’s Word. “With God all things are possible!”

Blessings on you!
