Greetings to you…accepted into God’s family through the powerful, wonderful, and beautiful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful late Spring day in the Kingdom…obviously a day that the Lord has made for us and it is our challenge to rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday – and I hope you are ready for all that God has in store for you this week. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release His shalom-peace…may He bring healing to you as needed…may He guide and direct your steps…may He use you to bless someone else.
Yesterday was our noon-hour prayer gathering and although are attendance was down…God showed up in a powerful, intimate way – speaking to us through His Word released to individuals. We had moments of sharing what God was doing in our lives during this time of stay-at-home and lockdown. It would seem that He wants to add a little dimension to our faith…more depth and width and height. One of the verses that we began with reads this way: Blessed are those who listen to me, watching daily at my doors, waiting at my doorway. Proverbs 8:34.
I know someone who would point out that there are three significant “verbs” that anchor this verse…listen, watching, and waiting. Now, I know that you also noted the word…”daily“, and the use of “me” and “my.” It suggests a regular and personal encounter where we don’t do the talking. This is interesting because there were many moments of complete silence in our prayer time…and they were quite comfortable, no awkwardness. Perhaps, God was responding to one of our worship songs…”Fill this house with Your glory!” or maybe it was because we were being still and recognizing that God is in charge.
I have a belief that God has been teaching us much about who He is and how we respond to Him. I believe that we are being changed…transformed – and we aren’t aware of it taking place.
Something to ponder…be blessed!
