A Church with a Heart for our Community

June 2nd Thursday

Greetings to you! in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior…who is preparing you and I to be presented in the courts of heaven as His beautiful bride – spotless, flawless, unblemished, and holy! Now there is something to think about on this day – “that the Lord has made so that we could rejoice and be glad in it!” Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to make Himself known to you in ways that you will understand so that you may respond to Him…may this be a day when answers to prayers that you have been waiting for arrive unexpectedly…may your joy in the Lord give you strength.

Today I am following a theme of praying – for ourselves…our family…our church family…our friends…our nation. It needs to be taking place as we “wait” for Pentecost Sunday. When we are doing this, we are acting out what the first followers were doing after the Ascension with one notable difference…we are not in one place. I have given you, over the past two days the words of a prayer song and I will do the same today but first I want to remind you of three verses of Scripture: “…And call for help when you’re in trouble {troubled}–I’ll help you and you’ll honor me.”  Psalm 50:15  The Message ; You do not have because you do not ask God.  James 4:2c  NIV ; For I am the LORD your God who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, Do not fear; I will help you.  Isaiah 41:13  NIV. Just take a moment or two to ponder these verses and what they mean to the importance of prayer.

Now here are the words from the song…

I pray for your healing
That circumstances would change
I pray that the fear inside would flee
In Jesus name
I pray that a breakthrough would happen today
I pray miracles over your life in Jesus name
In Jesus name

Oh come believe it come receive it
Oh the power of His Spirit is now forever yours
Come believe it come receive it
In the mighty name of Jesus all things are possible

This prayer time as we head toward Pentecost is important , not only for those we are praying for…but for us as well. I would suggest that you pay attention to the phrase – come believe it, come receive it!

Just a little something to ponder…be blessed in this day!
