A Church with a Heart for our Community

June 29th Tuesday

Greetings to you…dearly loved children of God in the amazing name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom…and just a little on the warm side! However, it is the day that the Lord has made, so we will rejoice and be glad in it. On a day like this do you remember those “cold days” of winter when you couldn’t wait for summer sun? This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father – to let you hear the sweetness of His voice…to see the beauty of His fac…to experience the safety of His arms!

A few short months ago all the conversations seemed to be focused on “getting back to normal” and then wording seemed to change to considering “what will the new normal be” and now we are just wondering if we can hang on until something changes. Truth be told I am wondering what our next steps will be within the church? It really is challenging to plan and cast a vison…but we must…where there is no vision the people perish – Proverbs 29:18 NIV…or when there is no clear prophetic vision, people quickly wander astray. – Proverbs 29:18  TPT.

So this morning, I was encouraged and directed by a short paragraph in one of my devotions: The next time you’re worshipping the Lord, pay attention to what you’re sensing within and around you. When the atmosphere becomes saturated with His holy presence, press in and ask Him if there is anything specific He wants to say or show you. You may just be surprised! – Brian Simmons and Gretchen Rodriguez, The Divine Romance.

I believe that we need a “Samuel moment” – ‘speak Lord, your servant is listening’. I believe the Lord is setting the stage for the next season in the unfolding adventure of the church. Let us not run ahead of Him nor lag behind, but keep pace.

Something to ponder…be blessed!
