Greetings to you in the Name that is above every other name, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! I need to tell you something…”This is the day that the Lord has made and we need to rejoice, we need to glad – in it!” I trust that all is well with you and those closest to you. I pray that God is blessing you and revealing his presence to you in ways that you understand and can respond to. Today I am going to pray for you, asking Father to find you in a quiet moment, come and sit beside you, and spend some time with you.
This being the week leading up to Canada Day I want to encourage you to pray for our country and for all those who are in places of leadership. We are told in the Bible to pray for the peace of our land and for those in authority over us. So, over the next day or so, I am going to give you a prayer to read and/or pray. These prayers are from the hearts of recognized prayer warriors and I hope you will join with others who are praying.
This morning’s prayer comes from James Goll, who leads a ministry called ‘God Encounters’ : “In the name of Jesus, we labor with the Holy Spirit for a God-sent revival in our day. We will not quit praying until we have seen with our own eyes the glory of the Lord covering the earth as the waters cover the seas. O God, release a global revival to the Church in our day! Awaken the sleeping beauty called the Body of Christ to her destiny. Start in our nation! Start in my city, my community! Start in my church congregation! Start in my family! Start in my very own heart! Release revival fire for the sake of Your holy name! Amen and Amen.”…( In particular we ask your blessing on Canada, from East to West and North to South…on our Prime Minister and our Provincial Premiers and our Mayors! Amen.)
