A Church with a Heart for our Community

June 16th Thursday

At each and every sunrise You will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to You. And every morning I lay out the pieces of my life on the altar and wait for Your fire to fall upon my heart. – Psalm 5:3 TPT.

Greetings in the name of Jesus, ‘the friend who sticks closer than a brother’ – THE Risen Saviour. What a “damp fine” morning in the Kingdom and obviously,a day created by the Lord for His purposes in our lives! It seems to me that life is “busy” for so many people and there is much turmoil swirling around our world, both specifically and in general. I have noted that there seems to be a “soul-weariness” playing havoc with our lives. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to “lead you beside still waters – making you lie down down in green pastures – restoring your soul” as He spends time with you – personally.

Let me give you a verse of Scripture and then four quick thoughts to ponder and encourage you. Since we are moving into “Father’s Day” weekend, it is only fitting that these words come to us: “If you, then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give good gifts to those who ask him!” – Matthew 7:11  NIV.

First, ‘everything is a gift from God!’ – our life, our talents, our health, our families, our friends, our homes, our food, our clothing, our ‘toys’, our purpose…everything!

Second, there is ‘nothing that you need that God cannot provide’ – He has infinite resources and awesome creative ability!

Third, ‘God wants to give you everything you need to enjoy life and be prosperous’ – He delights to see people celebrating life!

Fourth, ‘He (God) is simply waiting for us to ask’ – He is a good, good Father and it says in the Bible: We have not because we ask not of God – James 4:2.

Have a great day…enjoy the blessings!
