Greetings to you in the wonderful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a beautiful sunny morning in the Kingdom…and I am sure that you expressed in your own unique way – a shout of praise, an exclamation of delight, or you might even have sung a “sunshine song!” I trust that you have had a grand week and that ALL things have worked together for your ultimate good. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to infuse you with a measure of hope and anticipation and excitement about the coming weekend and the opportunity to join your family of faith for worship. I believe and declare that God is up to something and He is going to reveal it to us very soon!
A funny thing happened to me today as I was heading to the office. I had to go to the ‘lab’ for a blood test and as this usually requires a waiting time I took along a new book to read. So I am reading the book when I am called toa cubicle where I must wait again and where I continue to read. he lab technician came in and looked at the book She got this funny look and commented that it was a fitting book to be reading…The Power of Communion…’BODY & BLOOD OF JESUS’. I told her that strangely enough I was just reading a reference to “high resolution blood imaging”…and we shared a laugh.
My morning devotional reading has been very thought provoking and has been focusing on the Presence of God and seeking His face. The devotional which is becoming my favourite…and most challenging is a short paragraph with a simple thought or question as a focal point. I think I have shared already from – “Meeting God Face To Face” by Bill Johnson. Today’s thought included a question that I am pondering: “Do you believe that God will respond to you if you seek His face?” and included a personal declaration: I will follow after God’s signs and wonders until they follow me. The scriptural anchor point is: My soul follows close behind You. –Psalm 63:8, NKJV.
As I moved into my prayer time, God reminded me: …But there’s one other thing I remember, and remembering, I keep a grip on hope: GOD’s loyal love couldn’t have run out, his merciful love couldn’t have dried up. They’re created new every morning. How great is your faithfulness! – Lamentations 3:21-23 The Message. As much as I experienced the evidences of God’s love and presence and blessings…yesterday, they were for yesterday. He has got a fresh supply of evidences of who He is and what He can do for today. I am not to try and hoard yesterday’s supply but to seek a fresh supply today. I remember a line of a song…What God has done, He still can do! So, thank you God for yesterday…but I want more!
Have a great weekend…be blessed!
