Greetings to you in the Name above all names, the Name that gives us access to the Father, the Name that radiates power…Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Another beautiful morning in the Kingdom, another opportunity to say – “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!” I trust that you have had a good week and found many divine moments along your path…and had more than one opening to tell someone how good God is! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a sense of well-being – “shalom” peace … may He bring healing and hope to you…may He prepare you for a weekend of adventure in the Kingdom.
I have been enjoying the Hallmark Christmas movies…really! I seem to learn new lessons that are hidden in them, be it intentionally or not. This year one of the things I have noticed is how many of the stories begin with an “encounter” and then evolve. Oddly enough, as I have been doing Christmas devotions and reading Scripture…”encounters” are vitally important and integral to our spiritual journey.
In the movies, it is the encounter between people that leads to relationship and in the relationship transformations that place that affect businesses, towns, families, and other people. Every encounter is unique in its setting and outcome. However, it is who that are involved in the initial encounter that makes the difference. In our spiritual journey it is the same…it is our encounter with God that makes the difference. Everybody’s encounter with God is unique in its place, who is involved, how it is manifested – but the important thing is “who” the encounter is with.
In the Christmas story the encounter of each participant is unique but every encounter involves God and the person. In the same way for you and I…our encounter stories can be so different and at times can cause us to look at our story thinking it isn’t as interesting or special as someone else’s. However, it is not what happens that is important…it is the “Who” of the encounter. My prayer is that we have an “encounter” with the One who will change our lives, both at the beginning and over and over again. Let everyone have their own unique encounter with God and may it be tailored to what will be memorable.
Just something to think about…have a blessed day!
