Greetings to you in the powerful, beautiful, and wonderful name of Jesus Christ – The Risen Saviour! I trust that all is well with you today and that you have had a good weekend and Monday…I know that sounds like a strange phrase because how does one define “good” these days. However, I believe that you know how to respond in a way that is meaningful to you. We have a good -looking early Spring day coming at us…and there are many signs that our earth is starting to wake-up. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to release a spirit of hope into the depths of your soul and that you are starting to “wake-up” as well. You will know that this hope is supernatural for you will experience a “peace beyond understanding” at the same time.
Yesterday we had the opportunity to watch a “Pastor’s Easter Prayer Time” from Saddleback Church in California. It was rather unique as it involved representative pastors from six countries addressing particular prayer concerns reflecting the understanding that there would not be regular Easter worship gatherings this year. It was good to be reminded that this situation that we find ourselves in is not simply affecting us but the Christian family globally. This year Good Friday and Passover will take place in the midst of darkness, despair, and a politically-charged atmosphere…somewhat like the very first one. Therefore the victory of Easter Sunday and the resurrection will be ‘more’ than it has been in days gone by.
One of the pastors who led in prayer quoted Isaiah 7 – there was an attack from two enemies against Jerusalem and when things looked bleak God sent a message and a warning…”Stay calm! Be quiet and guard your heart! Don’t panic or be discouraged…! They (the enemies) will not succeed–it will never happen! …If you do not stand firm in your faith, you will not be able to stand at all! – Isaiah 7:4, 7, 9b TPT. Then, before he prayed, he reminded us – Stand firm in your faith! Along with the prayers there were four worship artists, singing and focusing our attention on the faithfulness of God. I will share a link for one of the songs in the email.
Once again, I thank God for technology and the ability to be connected with fellow-adventurers and to experience such positive worship experiences. Tonight, Keith & Kristin Getty along with their family will be hosting a Easter Hymn Sing…it will be available for us to watch at 8:15 pm. Starting today there is a 72 hour event…continuous worship available to watch/listen to…presented by Watchmen.org, called – Perfume of Nations. I continue to thank God for my church family who keep connected with each other as there are some who are feeling quite isolated
Let me encourage you – Stand firm in your faith! – be blessed!
