A Church with a Heart for our Community

April 29th Wednesday

Greetings to you in the beautiful, wonderful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! He is the Light of the World! What an amazing day He has created for us to enjoy and to thank Him for! and what a wonderful family He has been assembling…and we are part of it! It seems that the sunshine has taken the day-off but the spring rain is a sign of God’s activity in reviving and restoring our world. Today I will be praying for, asking Father to meet you at your point of need with a fresh supply of mercy and grace…exactly what you need to find peace, hope, and joy in your day. Be encouraged – He is there!

This morning God has been reminding me that living by faith is a unique experience…as it does not need demand that I have all the answers. In fact, the life of faith is a mysterious balance of certainty and uncertainty which seems to be a daily experience of dealing with our worries and concerns. We live with the uncertainty of what is happening now and at the same time we live with the certainty that God is in charge and that according to Jeremiah 29:11 it is all part of His plans for us.

Listen to His Word: Don’t be afraid, I’ve redeemed you. I’ve called your name. You’re mine. When you’re in over your head, I’ll be there with you. When you’re in rough waters, you will not do down. When you’re between a rock and a hard place, it won’t be a dead end – because I am your God, your personal God. – Isaiah 43:1-4  The Message. I am learning, perhaps relearning, that this is a response from God based upon our initial step of making Him Lord of our life…and yet it demands saying ‘yes’ to Him every day. I think a good prayer in light of this idea is: Dear Lord, help me to continually say yes to you…and help me to not be afraid to trust you and the plans you have for my life, I don’t want to miss out on what you have planned for me.

It is very important to understand…Jesus responded, “Stop your grumbling! The only way people come to me is by my Father who sent me–he pulls on their heart to embrace me. And those who are drawn to me, I will certainly raise them up in the last day.”  John 6:44  The Message — When I called, they did not listen; so when they called, I would not listen.  Zecharian 7:13 NIV.

A little something to think about … be blessed!
