Greetings to you in the beautiful, wonderful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! This morning I am grateful that our Saviour is so magnificent-amazing-approachable! Of course, I am thanking Him for the new day that He created for us…and I will rejoice and be glad in it! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday…enjoying the sunshine and the rain and all the blessings-big and small-that came your way. I know that one of my friends will be happy because the first sound of Spring wee heard throughout the city – the sound of lawnmowers! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to infiltrate your life today with the beauty of His illuminating presence…releasing encouragement and hope and peace that is beyond understanding.
This morning doing my morning devotions I realized that I had prayed ‘the Healing Prayer’ every morning for the last forty-seven days. I have prayed it for myself and my loved ones and my family of faith and my friends. I remember sending it along via email…and I am grateful for those who printed it and delivered to those who don’t have computers. I have heard from a few folk who affirm that they, too, have been praying it everyday. One individual used that prayer and prayed it over his family while anointing them with oil.
I suppose one of the positive aspects of the prayer is that it based on God’s Word. Therefore, when the prayer is read out loud, God’s Word is released into the atmosphere…and God’s Word released in such a way is powerful. Another benefit, of course, is that it is not limited to praying about the corona-virus but it can be applied to any and all healing-needed concerns. If you have been praying this prayer each day you, like me, know some of the words/phrases without looking at them. Ah! a prayer has been helping us learn God’s Word.
And another benefit to using this prayer is that it is helping us fulfil our Jesus-ordained ministry of …bringing healing to lepers and those who are sick, and make it your habit to break off the demonic presence from people, and raise the dead back to life. Freely you have received the power of the kingdom, so freely release it to others – Matthew 10:8 TPT … impartation by the laying on of hands…- Hebrews 6:2 TPT. As you will remember that a major part of our identity as followers of Christ is to be part of the ‘royal priesthood of believers’ – if we don’t pray and impart healing to our world…who will?
Just something to think about on a Tuesday … be blessed!
