A Church with a Heart for our Community

April 24th Friday

Greetings to you in the wonderful, beautiful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! another day  that God has purposefully created for us so that we can rejoice in Him and be glad in our relationship with Him. I trust that you are having a great week in the kingdom and enjoying all of His benefits. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to quiet you with His love and to sing over you a song of victory and release His joy into your being.

Today marks the forty-second day, I think, of our adventure of ‘staying-put’ in our homes…and yesterday we were told to expect at least another two weeks or so. It isn’t an easy thing to do…understatement! This morning my devotional readings all seemed to be addressing those times when God seems to be distant and life feels extra difficult. I know that these are the moments when we need to ‘stay-put’ in God’s presence through our worship and prayers of surrender and letting the truths of His Word dwell in our heart.

One of my friends said…“Worship is the atmosphere that welcomes God’s presence and gives place to His marvelous acts” – Don Moen. Further to that are these words… For this is the hope of our salvation. But our hope means that we must trust and wait for what is still unseen. For why would we need to hope for something we already have? So because our hope is set on what is yet to be seen, we patiently keep on waiting for its fulfilment. – Romans 8:24-25 TPT. Trust – patience – wait … for that which is unseen – we don’t really know what the days to come will look like. However, we know that God is in control and we believe, or at least we say we do, that God is good all the time!

I will share a prayer that came my way that is focused on these days in the email…have a blessed day…stay connected to God and what is ‘unseen’!
