Greetings to you…light of the world, in the powerful, life-giving, wonderful, and healing name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a Spring morning – light rain, gray skies, and a cool wind a blowing. Now for the good news – “this is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!” I am thinking about that daily declaration I give you and how important it is to gaining the right perspective. Perhaps we need to take a moment or three and thank God for all that He has blessed us with already today…staring with “waking up” and then all that we take for granted. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to have mercy on you and to be gracious to you and to give you peace and to use you to encourage someone in your life today with a kind word…after all we are ambassadors for the King of kings!
One good thing about today is that it is “New Music Friday” and there is a new song available. The song comes from a rather unique individual – David Crowder…and the title is “He Is!” In the song there are four lines that are so timely: Come to Jesus and find your peace ; Come to Jesus and find your strength ; Come to Jesus and find your way ; Just come to Jesus and find His grace. However it is the chorus that catches me…He is – Hope for the hopeless -Rest for the weary – Help for the hurting – He is He is – Mending the broken – Bearing the burdens – All that you’re needing – He is.
It seems to me that with all that has happened in our world…and all that continues to happen…and that seems imminent to happen…we need peace and strength and a way and grace. It is my belief that we need Jesus more than ever and not some idea or concept but the reality of One who is actively involved in our life circumstances. If we could only see and accept that…He Is! just what we need in our 2021 world.
