Greetings in the name of the “Word who became flesh and moved into our neighbourhood” [John 1:14 -The Message]’ Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Now hear the invitation: Let everyone give all their praise and thanks to the Lord! For here’s why–He’s better than anyone could ever imagine. Yes. He’s always so loving and kind, and it never ends! Psalm 107:1 TPT. What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom! I trust that you have had a good week and survived all the adventures that came your way…and are expecting an awesome weekend. I will be praying for you today, asking Father to take all the pieces of your life and transform them into a garment of praise!
Most of you know me by now and that is a scary thing! However, you know I like music and I am a wonderful singer…aha! – not quite true. I especially like finding new artists and songs. My newest favourite is a young man – Travis Ryan, who wrote and performs two particular songs: “Until my voice is gone” and “The goodness of the Lord”. I have a sense that there is a transformation in Christian praise and worship music taking place … and it is powerful.
You also know that I like to read. I usually have at least three books on the go at any one time. I read fiction – British mystery and I read the study materials related to preaching and Bible study and I read those authors who challenge my thinking – I just finished Anne Graham Lotz’s …The Daniel Prayer. I read many on-line articles related to ministry topics and concerns. Oh, I read the newspaper as well, especially the ‘obits’ and do the crossword/word puzzles. The challenge here is to remember what I read and where.
And you know, or at least I think you do, that I like to collect quotes and ‘bullet messages’ like – “Be bold…or italic if you want” or “Please be patient with me, God isn’t quite finished with me yet!” Lately there has been a ‘bullet’ being fired that I like and have used myself – “God is large and in charge!” I just come across another one that is interesting – “God is aware…and He cares” – I found that today but needed the truth of it spoken to me – 2 or 3 days ago. Sometimes we don’t need a lot of words to process but a few simple, thought provoking truths that we had misplaced in the midst of life.
These random thoughts are to remind you and I that everyone we meet and interact with has an interesting story to tell of how God is involved and intervening and interfering at times in their life. Each one of us is unique…the sum total of characteristics and habits and quirks that make us “rememberable” {new word]. We need people to validate us and we need to validate others. Someone needs you – you need someone…that would make a good ‘bullet message’!
Have a great weekend – be blessed!
