Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! Wow! what a beautiful morning in the Kingdom! I trust that you enjoyed the weekend and Monday – with many blessings and adventures and divine appointments. It is exciting to start a new month…and there will be, I believe, many opportunities to experience the goodness of God. This morning I am listening to a song that has a tagline in it that says: “It will get better – God is in control!” – so I will be praying for you today, asking Father to release “BETTER” to you – starting today…for He is the God of the Breakthrough!
In just 12 days the Christian church will be celebrating – Pentecost Sunday. I am excited about focusing on the coming of the Holy Spirit to the individual lives of believers and the powerful transformation that that can bring. This event – the outpouring of the Holy Spirit – means different things to believers depending on the “Christian tribe” you are familiar with and as such is observed in a myriad of ways. Strange for an event that was designed to bring unity to the followers of Jesus Christ. However, I believe there is a basic truth that we can all agree upon: The experience of Pentecost assures the Christian that God is with them constantly and that His presence remains with them through thick and thin by means of His Spirit alive and well – living within.
In my morning devotions I read this incisive comment: “…if we are Christians yet we do not regularly experience God’s presence in our lives then we are not living in the fullness that God has designed us for.” Selwyn Hughes,
I have a sense that God has been and is working in the hearts-minds-emotions-spirits of believers…repairing the circuits, lubricating the “ON – lever” and restoring the relationship between the giver and the receiver so that the fullness of who He is can be experienced afresh. I am praying that Pentecost 2016 will beall that He wants it to be.
Be blessed as you ponder!
