Greetings in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Saviour! What a “cool” morning in the Kingdom with bright sunshine and blue skies! Our Father really knows how to create expressions of His creative genius!
I want to start with giving you some words from the Book: Listen to my passionate prayer! Can’t You hear my groaning? Don’t You hear how I’m crying out to You? My King and my God, consider my every word, for I am praying to You.At each and every sunrise You will hear my voice as I prepare my sacrifice of prayer to You. And every morning I will wait for Your fire to fall upon my heart…But I know the way home, and I know You will welcome me into Your house. for I am covered by Your covenant love, so I come to Your sanctuary with deepest awe, to bow in worship and adore You. Psalm 5;1-3, 7 TPT. I am really enjoying God’s Word and I am trying to read a Psalm a day.
I have made a few references to being in God’s hands and decided to go a bit further in study of that proclamation. Did you know that the phrase – “God’s hands” – is used some 119 times through the Bible? I have read most of these now and discovered that being in God’s hands is a multi-dimensional experience. Of course we know that His hands are ‘mighty’ but His hands are creative – supportive – protective – contain good – powerful – righteous – source of pleasure – bring judgement – grant approval – stabilize – lead – guide – bring trouble – spread out over our lives – strong – welcoming. I must confess that when I say…” i’m in His hands ” that I was not taking all these qualities into account.
But I was challenged when I read the words of Jesus to his disciples when they were in their darkest hour – after the crucifixion and before the resurrection truth was fully grasped — “…Look at my hands!…” Luke 24:39. Look at all that I am! Look at what I have done! Look at what I can do! Look at what I promise to do! Place yourself in my hands deliberately and consciously and with complete trust!
Something to think about—be blessed!
