A Church with a Heart for our Community

June 5th Friday

Greetings this morning in the name of Jesus Christ, ‘the Ruler of God’s Creation’ (Revelation 3:14) – THE Crucified and Risen Saviour! Another beautiful morning…and we say “Thank you” to the Creator. I trust that you have had a grand week which incorporated a blend of God’s blessings that seemed designed just for you…because they were! Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to prepare you to come to a celebration of faith with expectancy and dependence – God is in control!

This morning I was following the process of preparing to “hear God’s voice”. I had quieted myself down and I was focusing my eyes on Jesus and I was tuning-in to spontaneous thoughts and I was ready to journal — and God showed me … myself entering into the temple. I walked through the gates and there was the altar and the lampstand and the table of shewbread and through the torn veil into the holy place and the ark of the covenant in the holy of holies. Everything was beautiful – the light from the candles reflected off of the freshly polished surfaces of gold and bronze and there was a deafening silence. I noticed a haunting aroma rising from the bowl of incense. There was an overwhelming presence of sacredness and yet a comfortableness.

I simply was lost in the moment…I wanted to touch and yet knew that I must not. As if my thoughts were being read, I sensed a voice say: “These are but symbols  – don’t allow them to replace the truths they symbolize. I simply wanted you to see my home. This is where you come to when you enter my presence with singing. This is where you come when you ask for and receive the cleansing of my Son’s blood. This is where your prayers are received and placed in the bowl of incense. This is where your daily repentance washes you at the laver. This is the Holy of holies. This is my very presence. This is where the hunger and thirst for righteousness will be satisfied. You won’t always see this…but I wanted you to know that it is real!”

I kept looking, wanting to grasp all there was to experience…and then, very quietly I was instructed to write down what had happened.  So, here it is. I cannot do justice to what I saw and heard. However, I know that God cares about the daily moments of our lives and He is always listening and He is always speaking.

Have a great weekend — be blessed!
