Greetings to you faithful ones…chosen, purchased, and subdued…in the name of the One who makes a difference, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a bright and beautiful autumn morning in the Kingdom! This must be a day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it. I trust that all is well in your world and that you are aware of God’s concern and interest in what is going on in your life. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release the strength that you need for this ay and may He mix into His enabling grace.
Last week I came across a book that caught my attention called – “Breath As Prayer” …calm your anxiety, focus your mind, and renew your soul. I have been exposed the the spiritual discipline of ‘breath prayers’…and wanted to explore it. I have been challenged by what I read in the introduction…even learned the difference between worry and anxiety, the physiological side of breathing, and breathing techniques. The author, Jennifer Tucker, shares her personal story of the impact that ‘breath prayers’ have had on her life and then shares a wealth of these ‘breath prayers’, which are simply the promises of God.
Breathing…inhaling and exhaling creates a rhythm and the principle of – “smelling the flowers and blowing out the candles” makes it easy to remember and implement. So, let me challenge you to introduce ‘breath prayers’ to your arsenal of spiritual weaponry with two very basic breath prayers.
The need in your heart is for assurance of God’s presence and the text is: You go before me and follow me. You place your hand of blessing on my head. Psalm 139:5 – so you breathe a prayer: Inhale – “You go before me”…Exhale – ” – and You follow me” — repeat and let the truth quiet your thoughts.
The need in your life is for rescue in your situation and the text is: Look upon my suffering and rescue me, for I have not forgotten your instructions. Psalm 119:153 – so you breathe a prayer: Inhale – “You see my suffering”…Exhale – “rescue me” — repeat and let the truth release trust.
What is the verse of Scripture or what ‘promise of God’ are you standing on right now. You can turn that into your personal breath prayer and following the rhythm of breathing you can let go of ‘stuff’ and grab hold of God.
Have a great day…be blessed!
