Greeting to you…chosen, purchased, and subdued through the powerful, beautiful, and wonderful NAME of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! Wow! it looks like a perfectly normal November morning in the Kingdom – so, let us understand that “this is the day that the Lord has made, so let us rejoice and be glad in it.” I trust that all is well in your world and that God is actively at work in your life, responding o your prayers, encouraging you with His Word, using you to affect other lives, and rejoicing over you with singing. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father: to be the lifter of your head and the anchor for your soul and the friend who sticks closer than any other.
Yesterday was our noon-hour prayer gathering and as our routine has been, we began with a warm-up time of worship. Throughout Scripture God has shown us that the best way to go into “battle” is from a posture of worship and praise. Just this morning, in one of my devotions I read: Worship is your warfare! In the times of pressing and moments of stress; in the days filled with sorrow and the hours of strain, praising His name lifts you above your circumstances. A heart of praise cannot be defeated. A heart set in a posture of worship cannot be overwhelmed. When you praise Him, the atmosphere shifts. It is like the night turning to day…Remember He is the God of victory! He holds victory after victory within His fist, so sing your praises knowing that the battle is won! Praise Him knowing that your worship can shift your nation, your city, and your family. I implore you! Do not doubt the power found in a posture of worship. from “Lion Bites – Global Prophetic Alliance.”
There are a couple of songs this morning that, as I “sing” them to myself in personal worship, remind of the importance of keeping my attention focused on the daily battle…”My Lord knows the way through the wilderness, all I have to do is follow-Strength for the day is mine always, all I have to do is follow” and “Take time to be holy, let him be thy guide-And run not before whatever betide” and “Through many dangers, toils, and snares-I have already come-Tis grace that kept me safe thus far-And grace will lead me home.”
What song could you sing to yourself in personal worship? — Why not do that right now? Yesterday in one of our newer songs, we sang these words:
And all my life You have been so, so good
With every breath that I am able
Oh, I will sing of the goodness of God
You have led me through the fire
In the darkest night
You are close like no other
I’ve known You as a Father
I’ve known You as a Friend
And I have lived in the goodness of God
