A Church with a Heart for our Community

November 9th Wednesday

Greetings to you…in the beautiful, wonderful, and powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a lovely autumn morning in the Kingdom and what a privilege to say – “This is the day that the Lord has made and we will rejoice and be glad in it!” I trust that all is wel with you and those you care for. Today, I will be praying for you and asking Father to surround with His presence in such a way that you will know that He is there…may you experience His provision – His healing touch – His joy filled strength – His overwhelming peace – His confident leadership – His gracious forgiveness.

This morning as I pay attention to the news reports, I take comfort from acknowledging the sovereignty of God. My faith is secure in knowing that there is One who makes sense out of what seems, at times, to make no sense at all. I find assurance from God’s Word that reminds me that – the heart of the King is like a stream of water in God’s hand and He change how and where it flows…that God is the ruler of all nations…He(God) changes times and seasons; he deposes kings and raises up others – Proverbs 21:1; Psalm 22:28; Daniel 2:21.This morning in a devotion, I read these statements: “No human leader has autonomous power. No human leader is the final authority. No human leader has independent rule. The Lord alone is sovereign.” – Paul David Tripp.

There is a simple chorus that I like to sing to myself when life doesn’t seem to make sense – “God is still on the throne and He will remember His own – Though trials may press us and burdens distress us – He never will leave us alone – God is still on the throne and He will remember His own – His promise is true, He will not forget you – God is still on the throne.” And, I cannot forget to sing and declare – “This is my Father’s world – O let me ne’er forget – That though the wrong seems oft so strong – God is the ruler yet – This is my Father’s world – The battle is not done – Jesus who died shall be satisfied – And earth and Heaven be one.” – Maltbie Davenport Babcock.

“He’s got the whole world in His hands!” … be blessed!
