Greetings to you in the Name that is above very name, Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a beautiful morning in the Kingdom and what an opportunity to say: “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!” I trust that you are enjoying the warm weather and being outdoors…doing some yardwork or gardening or standing on the sidewalk visiting with neighbors. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to release a little more to you…more energy to get out and about, more strength to do the things that you need to do, more opportunities to speak to people, more awareness of God’s creative genius, and more hope for better days.
One of the things that I am really thanking God for these days is that the Christian music world is ‘waking-up’ after two years of shutdown. The songs that are coming seem to be reflective of a deepening of Christian experience – the soul-searching, the struggles, the victories, the spiritual growth, the challenges, and an awareness of God’s amazing grace.
Several songs have caught my attention, but there is one that has been encouraging me with a truth that I need to be reminded of…often! The song is titled…”You’ve Already Won” by Shane and Shane. The chorus goes like this: I’m fighting a battle-That you’ve already won-No matter what comes my way-I will overcome-I don’t know what your doing-But I know what you’ve done-I’m fighting a battle that-You’ve already won. Then there is a final verse at the end: I know how the story ends-We will be with you again-You’re my Savior, my defense-No more fear in life or death — I know how the story ends.
Just a question: do you have a song…old or new, that encourages you in your faith — something to ponder – be blessed!
