Greetings to you…loved by the Father, forgiven by the Son, indwelt by the Holy Spirit…in the name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! Ah! you guessed it, you know what comes next – “This is the day that the Lord has made, we will rejoice and be glad in it!” As long as we wake up each morning, this is a brand new truth every day, so it has to be declared as such! It is a rather typical Spring morning with the potential for a little bit of anything. Today I will be praying for you, asking Father to “bless you and keep you – TODAY, to smile upon you -TODAY, to look you full in the face – TODAY, and make you prosper -TODAY” (Numbers 6:24-26)
Following along with the theme of “Praising God” – another of the benefits that comes our way is that it helps us sense, experience, realize – His presence in way that makes sense to us. The Psalmist proclaimed: “God, we praise you and thank you because you are near.” Psalm 75:1 (NCV). This is why that in those moments when we don’t feel like praising…we should. I suppose it is like saying that in those moments when we don’t think we need or even want God – is the moment we need Him the most. One of the definitions of maturity in our faith is when we are doing the right thing whether we feel like it or not.
I came across a prayer in my morning devotions that needs to be shared: Jesus, you are my song, my joy, my life. When I feel like I can barely keep my head above the water, you rush to my side and rescue me. Teach me to run to you first–to seek you more than any other, And when I don’t have the strength to breathe a single prayer, I’ll simply close my eyes and know that you are there. Something to consider – be blessed!
