A Church with a Heart for our Community

April 27th Tuesday

Greetings to you – recipient of God’s grace and mercy and attention…through the powerful name of Jesus Christ – THE Risen Savior! What a lovely morning in the Kingdom…this is the day that the Lord has made for our delight and enjoyment so let us rejoice and be glad in the moments we experience! I trust that you had a good weekend and Monday experiencing God’s presence. I am believing that God has some special blessings for us this week, so keep your eyes open and your senses tuned in. This morning I will be praying for you, asking Father to surround you with hope and joy…may He give you peace as you encounter life’ challenges…may He be one step ahead of you providing direction and guidance.

As I read my morning devotions yesterday…it happened again! It seemed like with every reading God focused my attention on one particular theme…chasing His presence, pursuing moments of revelation, being aware of being able to ‘touch’ the hem of his garment. The theme was anchored in a verse of Scripture: So above all, constantly chase after the realm of God’s kingdom and the righteousness that proceeds from him…Refuse to worry about tomorrow, but deal with each challenge that comes your way, one day at a time. Tomorrow will take care of itself. Matthew 6:33-34 TPT.

I am not sure why this theme spoke to my heart. Perhaps this time of lockdown and stay-at-home is creating an unnoticed spiritual complacency that God wanted me to be aware of or maybe He wants to prepare me for a circumstance that is coming my way or maybe He simply wants me to get closer for reasons yet to be revealed. I have been learning that there are some things we do not need to understand. just accepte.

I know that this is not a unique experience just for me. I have heard many share how God revealed a verse of Scripture or a insightful quote or even a chorus from a song…and everywhere they turned that verse-quote-chorus was there. I am understanding that this is one of God’s “ways” of getting our attention. I believe that He does this to activate  a need for change or growth or course adjustment.  So this morning I have decided to “chase after Him”…to follow hard after Him. What is God asking of you today? Has He been trying to get your attention? He is a good teacher and will keep repeating what we need to learn, until we get it!

Something to ponder…have a blessed day!
